Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Agreement

Welcome to OpenVPN Manager. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our dashboard platform (“Service”), designed for managing OpenVPN servers and users. This Service was developed as part of an internship (PKL) learning project and is intended for internal use only.

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to access or use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • “Service”: Refers to the OpenVPN Manager dashboard application, including its web interface, API, and all related functionalities.
  • “Admin”: A user with the highest access rights who can manage other users, server nodes, and view all data within the Service.
  • “User”: A standard user with limited access rights, which may be restricted to data associated with “Labels” assigned by the Admin.
  • “Node” or “Agent”: Refers to an OpenVPN server connected to and managed through this dashboard.
  • “Data Log”: Information collected by the Service, including but not limited to VPN connection logs, dashboard user activity logs, OpenVPN system logs, and IP address change records.

3. User Accounts and Security

  • Account Registration: Accounts can only be created by an Admin or through an approved registration process. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • Responsibility: You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party.
  • Unauthorized Access: You must promptly notify an Admin if you become aware of any security breach or unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Misuse includes, but is not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service’s systems or networks.
  • Using the Service for any illegal or unlawful activity.
  • Disrupting or compromising the integrity or performance of the Service or its data.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Service.
  • Removing or altering any copyright or ownership notices.

5. Data Log Collection and Usage

As a core functionality, the Service performs extensive activity logging. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that we collect the following data:

  • VPN Activity Logs: Records of connection (CONNECT) and disconnection (DISCONNECT) events by VPN users, including usernames, IP addresses, and data transfer information.
  • Dashboard Activity Logs: Records of login, logout, and dashboard user IP changes.
  • Administrative Action Logs: Records of all actions taken by Admins, such as creating users or deleting nodes.
  • OpenVPN System Logs: Raw logs sent from each node’s agent for diagnostic purposes.

This data is collected for security, auditing, troubleshooting, and operational monitoring purposes. Data retention and deletion policies are governed by configurable Admin settings. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. Because this is an educational project, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to availability, reliability, or data accuracy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers, the school, or any related parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, profit loss, or other intangible damages arising from your access to or use of the Service.

7. Account Termination

  • By Admin: Admins reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.
  • By You: You may request deletion of your account by contacting an Admin.
  • Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Historical log data related to your activity may be retained in accordance with our data retention policy.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice before new terms take effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our discretion.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
